“When words fail, music speaks.”
The power of music has been examined for centuries as music has continued to help people within numerous areas of their lives. The question continues to remain, why is music so impactful? Since the development of the music therapy field, research has proven music is effective in a therapeutic setting as music accesses multiple areas of the brain which creates a unique, multimodal experience. Music therapy is the clinical use of music to assist individuals in addressing specific needs and goal areas within a therapeutic relationship between client and a board-certified music therapist.
Born and raised in Southern California, Taylor moved to central Pennsylvania when she was 15 years old starting a new chapter of her life.
